A sweet piece with a lot of history, this antique tip saucer would once upon a time have been used in an old French bistrot to charge the drinker.

The colour of the rim denoted the price of the drink, and a pile of these stacked up would be counted up to calculate the drinker's final bill.

We adore and collect these now as trinket dishes, who have lived a whole life before!
